Erin & Darren’s amazing destination wedding was held at the rustic and beautiful Alerin Barn in St. Johnsbury, VT. The couple lives in Montana but the decision to hold their wedding in Vermont was easy since Erin’s parents own and operate this fabulous wedding venue. It was an honor to be selected from their long list of photographers to document this special family event. I had been to the Alerin barn a few years before to photograph a family\/baby session, but had never photographed a wedding there. Knowing how the property is chock full of gorgeous backdrops, I was excited to be shooting there again. Also adding to my excitement was that the band was comprised of my former band mates and I would get to play a few songs with them towards the end of the night! The wedding party was so much fun to photograph, all were playfully dressed as if they were at a wedding on a summer day in Montana. The bridesmaids wore elegant summer dresses and were rocking their cowboy boots. The groomsmen sported new Carhartt pants, loosely buttoned shirts, cool belt buckles and cowboy boots. They were all looking great and feeling super festive! Bluegrass music filled the air all day long, and despite a little rain, the wedding was held outside and everyone had a great time. Erin and Darren are super cool people and so in love. They are great dancers too! It was an honor to share in this wonderful day.<\/p>\n
