Here’s a slideshow of some of my favorite photos from Sage and CJ’s amazing Vermont barn wedding a few weeks ago at the Mountain Top Resort. This day was beautiful in every way. From the emotional triple ‘First Looks’ (Father/Daughter, Brothers/Sister, and Groom/Bride) to the gorgeous ceremony at the Mountain Top’s ceremony knoll, the fun cocktail hour, awesome dances, heart string-pulling and hilarious toasts, special performances by the kids, on-point music by Top Hat DJ, amazing food and plenty of tasty beverages…this day was off the charts! Oh, did I mention the absolutely stunning, and radiant bride and her dashing groom?
Sage and CJ’s Vermont barn wedding sets the bar high for the rest of my wedding photo shoots this summer. I absolutely love shooting weddings at Mountain Top Resort, it’s one of my favorite Vermont wedding venues. It has stunning views everywhere you turn, and an amazing staff that ensure events are flawless. So how does one distill thousands of photos spread across 9 hours of wedding-day coverage into less than 8 minutes? It’s not easy trying to cut out so many images I absolutely love and believe help serve to tell the story of the day. So suffice to say I wish I could show you all the photos from this epic day!
But alas, I shaved it down to a mere 400 frames that jumped out at me. In actually it’s about 350 different photos, with certain images delivered in multiple styles: color, vintage variations, and black and white. It’s my regular workflow to take certain images and edit them with different looks, depending on what inspires me in the moment. To me, it’s amazing how the feeling of a photo can change when it’s edited differently. While doing editing and retouching, I love to present different artistic looks and it’s something my clients enjoy!
All in all I hope this illustrates the range of coverage and documentary style I’m going for. I’m trying to tell the story of the day; one of the most exciting stories that Sage and CJ have lived. I hope you enjoy! Here are the photo stats in case you’re interested:
